No Team in Your Area? Start a New Team!

If you’re not already in an organisation or group, why not help set up a Local SOS Team in your neighbourhood? Our Local Teams are absolutely vital to building this movement!

• Make sure SOS leaflets and posters are in local shops, pubs, cafes and centre’s!
• Deliver leaflets door to door, speak to neighbours and get more people involved!
• Make sure individual residents who want to get involved have friends to work alongside – we are stronger together!
• Find and speak to other local community groups, help get them involved and make sure SOS is firmly rooted in the community!
• Local Teams also get an equal voice in the SOS Reading Co-ordinating meetings to trade union branches and other formal organisations, giving local people a real say in what we do.

If you know four other people, you’ve got enough to form a Team. If you are on your own just now, don’t worry - other SOS supporters can help you get started. Eitherway, get in touch and we will give you guidance, contacts and materials.

Pauline from Katesgrove started her local team and says “We pooled our experience of places where we have been able to leave leaflets and identified more key locations for the future. We will also do street by street leafleting. We welcome all Katesgrove residents, all those interested in Katesgrove and especially those who live near but do not have a group. We all fight back together!”
